Snow in Brunei?

This year's NBT Xmas Decoration is awesome ... ada snow lagi! Very nice, but last week ada vandals caught damaging the snowman & reindeer, and they were fined! Served them right! Padan muka diorang, they were from Australia and drunk at that time.

Anyway, it's Edot's birthday today too! Bebulan-bulan sudah ia remind everyone about her birthday. Ani ia lagi kan kena bawa ke KK, family trip this Wednesday, excited ia sudah with her packing yang berbakul-bakul, rioh Mamoi! Hehehe!

Another Genius In The Making

5-star performance by Mulaut school quartet

Sekolah Rendah Mulaut this year scored excellent Primary School Evaluation (PSR) examination results with four students obtaining 5 As compared to only one student last year.

Of the 32 students who sat for the examination, four obtained 5 As, two 4 As and three got 3 As.

The school's overall pass percentage rose to 89.6% of which 16 students scored an A in Mathematics with only four failures.

According to teachers, the good results were due to the commitment of all the teachers since early this year to conduct extra classes, prepare extra notes and use past years' question papers as part of efforts to make sure the students were prepared for the PSR examination.

A motivational talk for the students and parents organised by the school's Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) was also held a few months before the examination, delivered by a local motivator, Hj Kasim bin Hj Omar.

The four students who scored 5 As are Nuraqilah Binti Kassim, Masrurah Binti Wahab, Ak Ahmad Al-Khari Bin Pg Hj Tajuddin and Ahmad Zaimi Fa'aiz Bin Hj Zaim.

Ahmad Zaimi Fa'aiz whose ambition is to be a scientist wants to follow his family tradition of studying at Science College where his mother was among the first intake of Sekolah Sains in 1978, followed by his aunties, uncles and cousins in the later years.

According to their teachers, Cikgu Hjh Noralam and Cikgu Masni, all of them were very active in school activities and represented the school in competitions and events organised by the Ministry of Education as well as Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The teachers promised to work hard to continue achieving excellent academic results.

Edot punya pacar baru, bertemakan Kulimambang, cos the right hand pacar sudah fading. She is very excited today because tomorrow she would be going to Limbang with Mamoi to do some shopping.  

Antiques At Home

Two antique items which can be found at home. I am pretty sure they are older than myself, more than 35 years old! The mug itself is already 38 years old (souvenir in conjunction with HM Sultan's Coronation or Puspa in 1968), not sure about the brass Duck and Peacock, but both birds have been around ever since I was a child.

Going to find out how to preserve the two brass antiques, which I believe are valuable items now. They are possibly made in India. Will try to find more 'treasures' at home ....

Merah - si Ayam Serama

Meet MERAH, our pet rooster. He is the only ayam left at home, all the rest sudah kembali ke hadrat Illahi dalam beberapa peristiwa tragik dan menyayat hati seperti dimakan biawak dan ular (it's a jungle out there!)

Merah is quite intelligent and smart to survive the ups & downs of a life as a rooster. He has some friends too, some pigeons (acang) and sparrows (pipit), selalu diorang begosip while having lunch or afternoon tea. If only Merah could fly! Hehehe!

The Four Musketeers

U might spot the resemblance between Aiman & Faris, but I can't explain Muiz & Hadi! These are our International faces, hahaha! You should see Hadi with his curly hair, so adorable!

Father's Birthday & Father's Day

Father's Day falls on Sunday 18th June 2006 this year. And our beloved father/grandfather celebrated his 80th birthday on Friday 16th June, Alhamdulillah. Both were celebrated on Saturday night 17th June, managed to get most of the cucus together, tua muda damit besar, hehe.















You can see from the collage of pictures here, there were FOUR delicious cakes for the event! Yes, only FOUR. Well, it was definitely enough for all the kids (& the chocoholic adults too!)

Guess who is the most eager person that night - none other than Edot! Hehehe! We all had some delicious homemade steamboats of chicken soup & tom yam. Yummy! [Tawar sikit saja, sorry guys, hehe, lupa menambah sira]

Anyway, we all had a good time, it's not often that we can get together like this. A good guess - the next one would be during World Cup Final, and AF4 Final! Hahaha! Liat saja tah nanti! Who wanna bet?

















AND! One more thing - please get the games ready for the next big gathering! Hadiah ada sudah bebeli that night, but too bad, we didnt get enough time to organise it. Mana inda, semua orang sibuk meliat football match & KDI. Inda lagi ingat kan main game! So we got some 'spare' gifts to give away next time. Baik jua inda main Lotto!

AF4 kini sedang hangat diperkatakan ... still in it's 3rd week. Voted out so far : Nora, Karen and Rich. Masing-masing dengan Pelajar kegemaran.. who do you want to win?

A Lesson and Reminder

A True Story:

This lady has changed her habit on the hand phone after her handbag was stolen. Her handbag which contained her mobile, credit card, purse etc. was stolen.

Twenty minutes later when she called her hubby, telling him what had happened, her hubby says "I've just received your SMS asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago."

When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money was already withdrawn. The pickpocket had actually used the stolen handphone to sms "hubby" in the contact list and got hold of the pin number. Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from the bank account.

Moral of the lesson:
Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact list.
Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, Sweetheart, Dad, Mum etc......
and very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked thru SMS, CONFIRM by calling back.

Tapi jangan tertipu, hehe, some of these flowers are actually small in size. Zoom dekat-dekat, besar tia usulnya, camera trick kali ah, bulih!

Ambok mencuri jambu yang sedang masak ranum masa ani. Memberi sasak, especially kalau geng-geng ambok atu belusir atas atap rumah. BISING!!! BuTimah pun riuh sebab pagi kelmarin geng-geng ambok ani membuat operasinya Subuh-subuh lagi, masa orang masih nyaman tidur.

Kan mencari Power Water Gun, tapi payah kan belurih dikedai masa ani, indada orang menjual lagi kali. Siapa ada? Kalau bagitau arah Nasir idea ani, iski ia ni, I can already imagine his evil grin!!!
